Tuesday & Wednesday, April 21 & 22, 2015

Dear Class:

  • MOCK INTERVIEWS- May 7 & 8.
You will need to have a passing resume to meet with a Business Partner. There are no scheduled make-ups for this assignment. If you miss the experience, you will need to request, schedule and complete  a make-up interview with one of our DD Administrators- Mr. Florez, Mr. Talley, Ms. Webster, Mr. Haner, Ms. Vancil by May 31.
  • If you need clothing for the Mock Interview:
GO TO THE COUNSELING OFFICE NOW TO ACCESS THE SCHOOLS CELTIC HEART CLOSE CLOSET. It is a FREE service.

  • NEW!!!   DRESS FOR SUCCESS presentation- presented by Mrs. Brewer and Sanford of the College and Career Center-------- April 30th & May 1st.
  • NEW!!!
Resume activities grading policy- Each assignment will be graded twice only- when it is due for the first grading and once after it has been revised/edited/completed and turned in for a final regrade.

We have an opportunity today to have Mt. Hood Community College speaker come here and talk to you about College Possible.  Please have your monitors turned off and give them your full and undivided attention.  You represent DDHS...

For the Freewrite today, please do Freewrite 10a.  Thanks!  We are moving into the interview portion of the class using our Resumes.   This will be the first 15 minutes of the class.

After that, I will handed out the "Resume Scoring Guide" and we went over the "Resume Scoring Guide".  You will finish your resume in the this class since the rough draft of it should be done by now.  You will put your name on the top of the "Resume Scoring Guide" and rate your resume according to the instructions on the guide as you complete a near final resume.   That resume must be uploaded by the end of the class for me to look at.  If not, I will dock a lot of points for failure to do so.

We will have a peer look at your resume next class to further "refine" your resume.  Without a near perfect resume, I will not allow you to interview.  We will be printing out your final rough draft so I can mark it up.

As stated before, you represent yourself, your teacher, your school, your community, and your parents at the mock interviews on May 7th and 8th.

Sincerely,
Mr. Green-Hite
