Dear Class:

 If your final resume draft is done and turned in or will be at the end of the class period, work on your freewrite and then final project slides (Link) - for Part 1: Who Am I?

Continuation of finalizing resume draft and working on Final Project

FREEWRITE:
  •  Create a document called "Resume Definitions"
  • List the 5 parts to a resume. 
  •  Explain the importance of each part and what it shows the interviewer.
  •  Explain "business language".  Share your answers with your partner.

  • Read and follow the slide tutorial- extra credit is given to those using the storyboards for complex data and arrangement.
  • Build your slides first with content. Add images at the end after you have finished adding content to all of the slides. 
  • You should be able to create 2-4 slides per class period if you have done the work and do not seek images to add.     
  • Use ONLY approved websites and sources for images when you add them. 


  • MOCK INTERVIEWS- May 7 & 8. 
    You will need to have a passing resume to meet with a Business Partner. There are no scheduled make-ups for this assignment. If you miss the experience, you will need to request, schedule and complete  a make-up interview with one of our DD Administrators- Mr. Florez, Mr. Talley, Ms. Webster, Mr. Haner, Ms. Vancil by May 31.
  • If you need clothing for the Mock Interview: 
    GO TO THE COUNSELING OFFICE NOW TO ACCESS THE SCHOOLS CELTIC HEART CLOSE CLOSET. It is a FREE service.

    Resume activities grading policy- Each assignment will be graded no more than twice- when it is due for the first grading and once after it has been revised/edited/completed and turned in for a final regrade.
  •  Tuesday- Special Schedule- Dress Code
  • Learning Target- #3  
    1. Students will explain each of the key parts to a resume,  their purpose and function.
     
  • TBD   Quiz on Learning target #3 
    NOTE: If you achieve an A on this quiz and produce an A resume, you will be excused from this portion of the final quiz.
