First, while I take roll, please open a new document and title it: "Teenage Sells App". Read this Article: Teenager Sells App For $40 Million And Why You Should Care Why does the author title it this way? What are the implications for you in today's society? Does this apply to your parents? Why or Why not?

Go to Occupations "Reality Check". Go to CIS, Occupations tab, Which Occupations match my preferences, and then "Reality Check". Plug in the appropriate parts and money and run it. See which job you would need to support that type of lifestyle. Post three jobs that you would need to support this money. Are any of these jobs ones you had chosen for yourself? Does this make you want to change your focus for education and careers?

Dear Class:

First, while I take roll, please open a new document and title it: "Graduation Requirement". Read this Article: Oregon high school students rip schools as too easy, too prone to keep bad teachers Do you agree with this article in general? Do you think David Douglas High School is easier or harder than other high schools in Oregon? Are you, as a student, willing to take AP, Advanced, or other difficult classes if they were offered at David Douglas? What do you think is the solution to any problems you perceive?

We continue with our video wrap-up. These videos provide informative scenarios and examples to help you understand yourself as a job seeker, job/career planner, and future employee/worker. Some of these videos are great segues into your next career exploration- writing a resume. You will look at your personal experiences and translate them into business language.

Learning Target: You will 1) add to your knowledge of personality types as related to you and others; 2) build on your understanding of your abilities and how you acquire them, 3) expand your knowledge of work place preferences.

Finish your analysis of your personal inventory assessments- Interest Profiler, Work Importance Locator, Skills Assessment, by completing handouts, Personal Inventory Analysis and Reflection, pages 1-4; My Career and Occupations Exploration, pages 5-6, CIS Skills Summary, Google and/or Word document and Freewrite. Learning Target:

Go into your "Holland" Codes, paste in your interest locator, and do the below:

What did you learn about your skills and abilities from completing the activities - Interest Profiler, Work Importance Locator, and Skills Assessment? Give a least one example from each assignment to illustrate how your personal experiences might have led to the final result. Refer to your handout- Personal Inventory Analysis and Reflection.

Example 1 - In the Skills Assessment task I stated that I can successfully create/draw a portrait worthy of an "A", art recognition award, etc. I matched this accomplishment to the "Perceptual" skills 21, and 23-26. The results of the assessment showed that I was very artistic at a score of 63 for the Holland Pers. Types and a 40 in the Arts and Engineering, Occupational Clusters. This was more evident, when I looked at my Work Importance Locator results. It showed that ...

Do one of the other Assessment Links: It is under CIS, "Exploration", "Assessment Link", and pick two of the list and do them. Print screen the results and paste into a document entitled "Assessment Link your name"

Create a Google document. Label it: PDx_FullName_CIS Skills Summary. Copy and paste (or make screen shot) the three results from your CIS account- Skills Summary, Holland Personality Summary and the Occupational Clusters.
