​Business Language — formal writing that objective, succinct and specific

Business Language resume writing — describes abilities and accomplishments as specific, measurable and concrete experiences, starts with an action verb, avoids slang and personal wording ( No "I" statements.)
IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER:

Mock Interviews will occur on the following dates:
Semester 2 —Thursday and Friday, May 18th and 19th
You must attend one of the sessions to receive full credit for the interview.

If you are absent from class, it is your responsibility to go to the class website, read through the weekly agenda, find the work you missed, and complete it.

Deadline:  Friday, April 28ndt add the class, please go to the Carreer Center next to the counselor office and have them help you add it.

  Activities:

Students, you will complete the following today:

1.  Warmup:  10 minute practice the Big 4.  Practice conclusion of interview.

2.   We will watch Landing+a+Job+in+the+Trades.

3.  Today, we will finish Personal Education Plan based on the School Curriculum Guide located on page 81 of 92.   You will also need to open your StudentVue and go to Course History, then Graduation Status.  This will give you the classes you have taken, what you are currently taking, and what you need to complete to graduate.  Create a Google Doc entitled "School_Graduation_Plan".  Create four tables that are 2 column and 9 rows.  You will place a title on the top.  We will do this together.  It will look like the curriculum guide's Personal Education Plan.

4.   Four parts to the "Introduction" in an interview.  Smile, Establish eye contact, Shake their hand, Introduce yourself.  Practice today.

5.  Continue with the Final Project "Who am I":  When working on the final project, refer to the slide tutorial in the link. LINK: FINAL PROJECT 2016-17

Create slides.. Finish photoshopped picture and insert in first slide.
 Table of Contents--Scoring Guide Create a slide entitled "Table of Contents".  Copy and paste in each of them.

Paceography- a brief biography of you as a person, student and tekkie.
 You must cite all of your pictures for credit.   If they are not cited, I will actually deduct points since the issues of copyright violation is apparent.

2.  Interview Questions.  Create a Google Doc titled "Interview_Questions_2" and answer the second 8-15 questions of the second sheet of Interview Questions . 
There should be a paragraph each question.  Fully answer the questions!  I should not see one sentence answers....
3.  Final Resume Building:  An example is on the Resume Tutorial.  You will be handed back your "My Education", "My Work History", and "One-Liners".  Please go to the link below "Resume Template" and download the Resume.  You will put in the information you have on the above sheets in.  At the end of the class, please save to desktop and then upload to your drive.  Delete the version on the desktop.
