Dear Class:

First, while I take roll, please open a new document and title it: "Graduation Requirement". Read this Article: Oregon school district wants to require college or trade school admission for grads. We have PACE A and PACE B at David Douglas High School. How are those two classes aligned with this requirement? Do you think this requirement is a good one to require in order to graduate? Are you planning on doing this (filling out a college or trade school application?). One last question: What, in the article, is "dissenting" argument or argument against requiring this? Do you agree or disagree?

We continue with our video wrap-up. These vidoes provide informative scenarios and examples to help you understand yourself as a job seeker, job/career planner, and future employee/worker. Some of these videos are great segues into your next career exploration- writing a resume. You will look at your personal experiences and translate them into business language.

Learning Target: You will 1) add to your knowledge of personality types as related to you and others; 2) build on your understanding of your abilities and how you acquire them, 3) expand your knowledge of work place preferences.

Activities: Complete video assignment sheets as you watch the following videos. A class discussion will follow each video in which you will share your comments about the video.

Create a new Document and title it "Succeeding in the workplace" Answer the following questions: What does the video say you need to succeed in the workplace specifically? Rate yourself for each one and tell me what you would do in order to improve each of these. Would these improvements help your parents? . (Mon. & Tues., Oct. 14 & 15)
