Dear Class:
Starting the class with a warmup. Please read the following article on "10 skills" and tell me what those 10 skills are and which ones reflect your skills. Use full sentences!
This week we will focus on:
1)defining desired work skills as they are identified through our experiences (Thinking About Me, Skills Assessment, & Resume Workbook, Step 1), interests assessments (Interest Profiler, Holland Code & Meyer's Briggs Personality Quiz) and preferences (Work Locator);
2) determining and narrowing our job/career choices through our exploration of CIS activities-the Combined Report of the Interest Profiler, Work Locator, Skills Assessment, and new- Career Clusters and Where in the World as well as the Meyer's Briggs Career Compatibility.
3) Identify skills in Step 1 of your Resume Workbook by pairing the Skills Assessment skills (1-72) to those from pages 2-6 of the Resume Workbook.
4) To gather the content of this assignment - Identifying Jobs/Occupations, you will need to 1) generate a Combined Report" found on the CIS site.
How to generate a Combined Report- You must complete in CIS the following activities: Interest Profiler, Work Locator, and Skills Assessment. Go to > My Career Planning Portfolio> My Assessments and Sorts> Combined Reports
