Freewrite: Take the Meyer's Briggs Interest test today and record your results in the next row of your Freewrite dated today.

Results to record: A description of your 4 letter results and the types of jobs suited to your personality type. Do these results match what you previously learned from the Work Locator and Interest Profiler? How are these results similar or not? What insight did you gain from this exercise?

Complete the CIS: Skills Assessment (copy and paste of your skills and a copy and paste of the skills for your "chosen" job you worked on last week. Learning Target: Students identify skills that match their accomplishments. Task:

Read Step 1 instructions of the skills: List at least 5 accomplishments. Read Step 2 & 3 of the skills: Match each of the 72 skills to at least one of your accomplishments and check the appropriate box in the table. Read Step 4 of the handout: Choose the top 5 Very Satisfying skills- these are the skills that have been chosen for one or more accomplishments. Choose the next 10 Moderately Satisfying Skills and label them SS Choose the next 20 Somewhat Satisfying Read Step 5 of the handout and post your summary on your CIS Skills Summary page. Unit Announcement:

This week we bring our CIS activities forward to help us 1) determine our career/job goal to develop a job objective; and 2) match our interests and personal skills to those skills and attributes used and required in the business community. Over the next several weeks, we will then use these goals,objectives, and our interests and skills to translate them into business language to create an effective resume. Learning Target: Students will reflect on their experiences and actions to identify skills that transfer to the business community.

Task: Complete pages in the Resume Workbook as follows:

Cover- write your name, class period in the top right hand corner. Also write "SAVE", large and bold. Do not lose this booklet and bring it to every class.

Inside Cover, under the Table of Contents- write you full name and class period only. Do not fill in your phone number, address or email address.

RESUME WORKBOOK, Step 1. PG. 2- Read through the explanation of PGS. 3-6

PGS. 3- 6- Complete each one of these numbered sections. WRITE IN COMPLETE SENTENCES. Full credit of 2 pts each given for thoughtful, complete work. Total value= 30 pts, max poss= 32.
