IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER:
Mock Interviews will occur on the following dates:

Semester 2 —Thursday and Friday, May 5 and 6
You must attend one of the sessions to receive full credit for the interview.


Learning Targets:
Students will --

  • Know basic budget vocabulary
  • Understand the value of self-assessments --
    Know their personality type and how personality types relate to career options.
  • Know career terms: job, occupation, cluster career

  Thursday & Friday:

     FreeWrites/Warm-Up:
  • Budget Vocabulary Test:  Take the test after you hit the "Create new test" and then copy and paste into a blank document titled "Budget Vocabulary Test" with your score.  10 min
                              
     ActivitiesStudents, you will work on the following today:

  1. Take the  CIS Interest Profiler Assessment- Save your results in your shared folder.

    Login to CIS for Oregon-  If you forgot your login, go to your "Interest Profiler CIS" document in your folder to locate information in your Interest Profiler Assessment.


    ✓ Open the CIS for Oregon tutorial. Go to slide 17 and follow the instructions to restore your survey. ~ 5 min
  2. Meyer's Briggs handout is due today.
  3.  Explore career options~ Identify 3 careers best suited to your personality type.
    Research these careers to determine if they suit your interests.
    To do this you will complete the Cluster Exploration handout.  20 min
  4. If you have finished all other classwork, take the Work Importance Locator survey. This survey assesses the kind of work environment your interests indicate.​
